My Story
I was born to be a therapist. It is in my astrological signs. It is in my heart and soul. It is in the family into which I chose to be born. That family provided me numerous and rich motivations to grow and be the change I needed so desperately as a child and young adult.
My journey to becoming a therapist officially began after a 10-year career as a music teacher and singer. At the age of 30, I went to graduate school to get my Masters in Social Work. This is also the time I got serious about my own therapy. The combination of learning to be a therapist while deeply investing in my own therapy was an amazing time of expansion in my life.
Over my career, I have worked as a hospice social worker, in community mental health as a therapist and a director, and with active duty and retired military. In response to the pandemic, and a desire to be my own boss, I developed my telehealth private practice in 2020. I have never been happier. I love what I do.
The work that I do is the alchemy of; life experience, professional education and ongoing training, my own work in therapy (as the client), my spiritual practice, and the growth of my own relationship with mySelf.
I currently live in New Mexico with my two dogs Trooper and Highway. When I am not with clients, I enjoy being in nature, time with friends, visiting museums and art exhibits, connecting with my spiritual community, and solitude in my home (which I call my nest). I am also recently enjoying a renewed and deepend relationship with my brother and sister.
My Psychedelic Journey
I began my journey with psychedelics in March of 2020. The week before the world shut down I participated in three Ayahuasca ceremonies. I was called to sit with the medicine during a time of deep searching. Psychedelics can be powerful healers. And, they are not the magic, you are the magic. The medicine won't heal you, but it can open you up so you can do the healing. I am honored to support you as you prepare for psychedelic experiences that you curate and integrate the wisdom you receive into your daily life.
(I will not be present during the use of psychedelics or source any medicines for you).
